Five women-led businesses have been chosen for financial and other support thanks in part to the more the $906,000 donated by all-woman business network SheEO.

Less than 5 per cent of the world's venture capital funding goes to female-led businesses, and even less for women of colour.

Those are figures that Theresa Gattung found hard to swallow, and inspired her to set out to bring about change.

Gattung would like to see more women coming out of business schools, and to be encouraged to take the same risks that boys are when growing up.
